Are there minimum standards for pool size and type?
Animal Rehab installs tailor made pools to
suit the individual, and has installed pools to suit both large and small
dogs. Top grade materials are used for the construction of the pools and
are only installed after a full site visit and consultation with
prospective owner. 3.
How do I know if the water is clean?
All
Animal Rehab pools are fitted with a filtration system to clean the pool and
Animal Rehab offers a water walker maintenance kit to help sanitise and
balance the water properly.
4.
Who can operate as a hydrotherapist and what qualifications are
required? Canine professionals such as kennel owners, breeders and grooming parlours currently run the majority of the UK’s 130 centres, but in the UK you do not need a formal qualification to run a centre. 5.
How will I tell if the hydrotherapy is successful?

How many sessions will I need?
This
depends on the size of the dog and reason for treatment.
Every case is different, but your vet will be able to advise you on
the best course of treatment and will monitor the dog’s progress.

What costs are involved in animal hydrotherapy? Rates
are set by the individual handler but Animal Rehab gives advice and guidance
to all handlers who have had a pool installed.
A typical session will include 30 minutes exercising in the pool
and additional time for preparation and drying the dog.
Fees will be in the range of £15-35 per session, with the chance
of some block booking discounts. The average cost and installation of a
pool, spa and overhead hoist can vary between £30,000 to £35,000. To put this into context, hydrotherapists might charge run as
many as 10 sessions per day.
